CYLINDERS MAINTENANCE:


► Installation and maintenance should be performed by qualified personnel.
► Ensure that the bearing surfaces are properly lubricated (e.g. joint bearing, swivel bearing) before being operated.
► Check leak-tightness and functional safety at frequent intervals.
► Maximum permissible level of contamination by particles in accordance with ISO 9001



CYLINDERS STORAGE :

► Always store indoors fully retracted in a clean dry area.
► Chrome plated rod protruding from the cylinder must be protected against potential corrosive damage. Treat the entire
surface with a rust inhibitor such as grease.
► Smear the internal surfaces of eye/clevis bushes or bearings with grease to avoid corrosion.
► We recommend that single-acting cylinders be protected against corrosion by directly adding a rust inhibitor oil to the unpressurized chamber.
► Hydraulic cylinders may be stored full of oil however a relief valve shall be installed on the cylinder port to allow for
fluid expansion caused by variations in ambient temperature.
► Under these conditions, cylinders can be stored up to 12 months provided that they have not yet been extended and retracted.
► After 12 months, cylinders must be inspected and commercially available preservative agents reapplied
